Why use our rings?

If you ring your birds with IBR rings you are giving them a future. Whenever the bird flies, it is wearing a telephone number on a unique ring so if it is found it can be ‘returned to keeper’*.IBR rings are traceable. By using IBR rings you are giving the bird the service and care it deserves for the rest of its life, you are also promoting and helping to protect the future of falconry. The IBR have been supplying rings since 1994 and we continue to be the only efficient raptor return scheme available. Give the bird a flying start. New laws state that rings must be unique. This does not mean AB123. These cause major headaches. Many people can have the same initials or use the same numbers. Our rings have a non repeated number together with IBR and our telephone number. This makes them unique. If rings are not unique, you may need to microchip the bird to sell it or acquire an Article 10 where appropriate.

What does it cost?

It costs £10 per string of ten closed rings. IF you follow the protocol then the next string of rings is FREE. What price do you put on the future safety of a bird and falconry?

*‘returned to keeper’ this can only be achieved if the keeper has registered the bird in his / her name otherwise the breeder is contacted to see if he has kept records and the trail begins.
